So true, when I started my business I just tried to follow your typical SEO advice and looking back at the first batch of emails I sent out it just makes me shudder at the damage I could've caused to my brand – I mean if I'd received one of those emails I would've sent it straight to spam. There really is no better advice than telling people to treat link building as real networking/relationship building. People are humans with emotions and feelings – not robots that respond to automated messages.
Hi Rand! I have a quick question I'd like to get your opinion on. I work at a marketing agency, when I do linkbuilding outreach, do you think it would be better to do the outreach as the client or let the other person know I am working on behalf of the client at an agency? Thank you!
WOW. This was so insightful, I like the part when you said that customized, non-automated and well-written emails it's just not an advice, and you're right, that is just a competent email.
I can't believe how many articles and guide I have read that pretty much only talk about this things and don't focus on the real ones like be humble and actually offer something that is extremely valuable to the people or websites you reach to.
I want to start doing link building outreach in English as I'm Spanish and only use this approach for the Spanish market (with good success, at least I think so lol). And I think to start your advice to ask people to send me their outreach emails they receive it's a great start (besides actually make an EPIC content extremely useful to them and their readers of course). That way I can see what others do and already fail to do outreach.
Thanks Rand for this awesome whiteboard Friday video. This is going to help me in my goal to become the master of link building outreach, it's going to be super hard I know, but when the road to becoming a master isn't hard right?

Could you send me your outreach email? My email id is neil.jose@acodez.co.in
interesting about the right type of email does not scale and that the most genuine emails are not outreach which makes sense.

I was getting frustrated with the email outreach but I will try what you said in this video.
