In this video I show the differences in Ahrefs vs SEMrush. Comment below – Which of these two tools do you use and why? 0:00 Introduction 0:30 Backlinks …
How much accurate is the "traffic value" data in Aherf? Anywhere close to the reality? If it's then how much close? 10-20% margin? Or more. Please reply.
Just want to add that the difference in volume for keywords is because typically SEMRush will not show as many branded keywords. They have a set number of keywords they search the web for and if your root domain shows up they will report it. Ahrefs does it a little different. Also. The reason they only go up to 100 on results is that these tools only search and report on the first 10 pages of SERPs. Basically 10 results per page over 10 pages equals 100.
😎So when it comes to ppc advertising data for ppc campaigns… Stick with semrush or ahref? I been signup with semrush.com for about 3 months paying $100/month..
Great review.. I love all the points you made. It made me want to try out ahrefs but the only thing that hold me back and kind of leaning toward semrush is that ahrefs doesn't offer mobile raking for $179/month plan whereas semrush offers mobile ranking at $199 plan… It's so important function and worth to pay a bit more not $399
I work at Ahrefs and I came here to thank you for a really nice unbiased comparison. It's really cool.
If you don't mind, I want to point you at one thing you might have overlooked regarding the PPC keywords data. Let's take your example getresponse.com. Ahrefs shows only 633 PPC keywords across all the countries, but that's because the data is up-to-the-date. Look at the last column "Updated" – the 'oldest' keyword was updated on 31 May.
And what are the 'last seen' dates in SEMrush? They store historic data and thus usually show a greater number.
